How CNC Plasma Cutter Works?

The arcs are generated in below process:

A high voltage spark comes from the torch head with the combination of air. It will form the pilot arc. The pilot arc forms in the torch head inside nozzle and electrode. The pilot arcs reduce the life of the nozzle. When the plasma power sources control system senses the current flowing from the electrode to the work, it will remove the electrical connection from nozzle. When the current flow started to the work, then arc come from the torch. Cutting can start. Nozzle life is limited by the no of pierce.
